Silica Needled Mat — 1050℃ High Silica Insulation Mat
Silica needled mat costs roughly three times what E-glass needle mat costs, and I talk buyers out of it at least as often as I sell it. I have been in glass fiber out of Chongqing since the late eighties. Over-specifying high temperature insulation is the most common waste I see in this trade. Somebody reads 1050℃ on a data sheet, decides more headroom is safer, and pays for a grade their process will never reach.
